The scholarship committee conducted the local elimination competition according to The M.W. Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of the State of South Carolina Guidelines.  The competition was held virtually via Zoom and conference calls during the month of March. 

Miss Honesty Wilson, a Hemingway High School honor student, was the winner in the competition.  She is smart, hardworking and a determined student. Some of her honors and academic achievements include National Beta Club Vice President, Student Council Class President, Future Business Leader of America and Church Activities.

She is the proud daughter of Mr. Danny Wilson and Ms. Devon Blow and granddaughter of Mr. Terry and Rev. Ernestine Blow.

Honesty will represent the Eleventh Masonic District in competing with 10 other Masonic District finalists from across the state of South Carolina.  The finalists will be competing for one of three $4,000 scholarships at the Masonic Temple in Columbia.

The Eleventh Masonic District consists of brothers from Georgetown and Williamsburg Counties. Brother Harmon Cooper, Jr. is chairman of the Scholarship Committee and Brother Reginald Cooper is the District Deputy.
